Job description: Responsibilities:Noblis is seeking to hire a Data Scientist with an ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in Chantilly, VAAs a Data Scientist with our team, you will be working with our federal clients to rapidly develop innovative solutions for addressing immediate cyber mission challenges. In this role, you will work on teams with other data scientists, software developers, and SMEs to apply the best practices and state of the art data science and machine learning processes. In this position, you will develop rapid prototype solutions to mission challenges by leveraging existing open-source models and technologies. Sample topic areas may include object detection, data triage, search/optimization, cyber security data science, and other cyber related data challenges.On our team, you will:

Identify, adapt, and integrate state-of-the-art research and open-source technologies into creative solutions.
Develop and train new machine learning models.
Identify, curate, and process large data sets.
Research, apply, analyze, and document technical approaches and their outcomes.
Leverage various computing resources such as GPU clusters and cloud-based compute servers.
Required Qualifications:

Bachlors degree in STEM fields such as computer science, statistics, statistics, data analytics, computer engineering, mathematics, and physics.
3+ years of related professional experience.
Proficiency with major data science tools and languages such as Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, Spark, and Git
Experience using ML and data science packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
Experience leveraging open-source models and adapting them to generate custom solutions
ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph
US Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications:

Comfortable using development tools such as VSCode, github/gitlab, Jira, and Confluence
Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
Demonstrated experience working with open-source datasets
Familiarity with data science best practices and methodologies
Familiarity with Agile development workflows
Experience working with Cyber data to include examples such as (Shodan, Censys.IO, etc.).
Demonstrated experience with cleaning, managing, optimizing performance with, and processing large volumes of data.
The Data Scientist has familiarity with industry best practices for software/hardware optimization when processing large data sets and offers experience in the following required task areas: experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and/or geospatial analytics; experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes is a plus.
Experience working with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure
Experience supporting the IC
Experience supporting cyber mission

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
Posted Salary Range: USD $88,500.00 - USD $138,300.00 /Yr.
