Job Overview XPECT Solutions is looking for an experienced and dynamic Cybersecurity Analyst to support their customers mission critical work in Clarksburg, WV. The position will help our customer to manage their minimum baseline Information System Security Controls.
This position will help ensure that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability or our Federal Customer computer systems is met and kept to the highest standards.
• * This position does have potential of Remote Flexibility
• * Core Responsibility to include (but not limited to):
• Provides technical support in the areas of vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, product evaluation, and security implementation.
• Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information.
• Responsible for preparing contingency plans for system software, hardware, and applications for the organization.
• Implement procedures to ensure business applications continue to function through disruptive incidents within an organization.
• Develop and maintains various security controls to protect technology assets from internal or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.
• Provide technical evaluations of customer systems and assists with making security improvements.
• Participate in design of information system contingency plans that maintain appropriate levels of protection and meet time requirements for minimizing operations impact to customer organization.
• Conduct security product evaluations, and recommend products, technologies and upgrades to improve client security posture.
• Conduct testing and audit log reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
• Provide reports regarding effectiveness of IT security and make recommendations for the adoption of new procedures.
• Responsible for day-to-day security administration of systems and networks including systems access administration. Requirements
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or related technical roles.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards including:
• NIST 800-53
• OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)
• SANS Institute Best Practices
• Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development environments.
• Knowledge and experience of information security practices within federal and/or state government environments.
