Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
Duties
Operate trucks to transport freight to various locations as assigned.
Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details and cargo information.
Drive manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in handling different truck types.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues encountered during transport.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
Familiarity with operating various truck types, including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
