Claims Specialist, Casualty

Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information. Evaluate and negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives. Ensure claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Review policy language and interpret coverage for various types of claims. Collaborate with internal teams such as underwriting and legal to make informed claim decisions. Document all claim activities and maintain accurate and organized claim files. Provide excellent customer service to policyholders and stakeholders. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, laws, and regulations related to casualty claims. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Handle potential fraud and subrogation issues appropriately. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all claim activities. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve claims processes and customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors regarding claim status and any challenges. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline claim handling processes.
