We refer candidates to Mercor that collaborates with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting‑edge AI models. Organization: Mercor Position: Claims Adjusters, Examiners, and Investigators Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $60–$100 per hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous Duration: ~6 weeks Role Responsibilities • Full-Cycle Claims Tasks: Execute FNOL intake, coverage verification, reserve setting, and liability determination. • Workflow Simulation: Simulate real-world claims workflows using tools such as Guidewire ClaimCenter and Xactimate. • Documentation Review: Review third‑party documentation including police reports, medical records, and vendor estimates. • Claims Drafting: Draft coverage memos, repair estimates, and liability assessments. • Fraud Detection: Identify inconsistencies or red flags in claims documentation and flag fraud indicators. • Compliance & Evaluation: Ensure claims compliance, document regulatory deadlines, and assess communication quality. • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed records for auditability and quality review. Ideal Qualifications • Strong experience in handling property, auto, bodily injury, or general liability claims. • Familiarity with systems like Guidewire, Duck Creek, Xactimate, Hyland OnBase, or FileNet. • Strong knowledge of coverage interpretation, state compliance standards, and claims documentation. • Experience reviewing third‑party documentation (e.g., police reports, medical summaries, contractor estimates). • Strong written communication and analytical skills.
