Civil Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant
A California-based real estate law office, with a strong focus on civil litigation, mediation, and transactional law, is looking to hire an experienced Remote Paralegal/Legal Assistant. The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants and balances a busy schedule with various ongoing cases. This is a fully remote, part-time role and the successful candidate may sit in any time zone. (Please note that the firm operates on Pacific Time.) Working hours are quite flexible, with an anticipated initial commitment of around 5-10 hours per week. There is potential for this to increase, according to the needs of the firm and with the right assistance. Responsibilities will encompass a variety of legal and administrative duties, including: • Billing and invoicing • Direct communication with clients • Managing attorney and court schedules • Responding to discovery • Assembling and organizing exhibits, evidence, and filings • Drafting pleadings such as complaints, answers, and motions • Conducting case law research and providing concise summaries of case files Qualifications: • Minimum of five years of experience in California civil litigation, the discovery process, court forms, and related legal systems • High degree of organizational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Proficiency in Rocket Matter for billing is preferred but not required • Working knowledge of real estate law will be considered an advantage Compensation $22.00-$32.00 Hourly About Us Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
