Civil Designer I - Fort Lauderdale or Sunrise, FL

They are seeking a Civil Designer I responsible for the design phases related to projects in the land development industry, including site, grading, and utility design. Responsibilities Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes. Receive direction on all aspects of assignments, specific tasks and how to execute. Work is thoroughly reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work Transform initial sketches and rough product designs into working documents using CAD Utilize design tools, networks, tool palettes, and templates in Civil 3D (2018) to complete design work Assist in developing and review completed civil engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards Assist senior level staff or management with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on moderately complex project issues Work closely with project manager to determine if scope of work or budgets need to be revised Skills High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required Entry level position, no prior experience required.
