Civil CAD Designer, Project Civil Engineer, Commercial Land Development

• *Civil 3D Drafter – Contract/Per Project (Remote | Southwest US | Texas Preferred)**

We are a remote, digitally linked, civil engineering firm specializing in commercial site land development projects — fast food, retail pads, hospitality, office, industrial and similar small/medium-acreage sites. We're looking for an experienced Civil 3D drafter to join our team on a contract basis, paid lump sum per project.
• *What You'll Be Working On:**

• Building pad site and utility design possible grading if skilled/experienced

• Small/medium commercial site development (1–10 acres typical)
• *What We're Looking For:**

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D — this is a must

• Experience drafting civil site plans for commercial development

• Optional familiarity with grading, drainage

• Not optional familiarity with site and utility plan design

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines, self disciplined, highly motivated, it is a privileged to be trusted remotely

• Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy
• *What We're NOT Looking For:**

• This is a drafting role, not necessarily an engineering role — no PE license or EIT status required but would be considered if paired with technical drafting/CAD Design ability

• No degree requirement — we care about your skills and experience, not your credentials

• 100% remote

• Southwest US / TX - based candidates strongly preferred

Will you consider non-locals if exceptional? We are completely open to remote/virtual, what we call digitally linked/cloud based engineering and file sharing. We would like to set up a face to face a neutral location/half way point as part of the interview process.

Must have Skills: Civil 3D AutoCAD Civil Design, critical site/utility experience 6+ years preferred. PE license not required, college degree not required, self-motivated and disciplined critical with the privilege of remote work at independent pace/hours. Strong communication skills, written and oral. Ability to efficiently explain and solve problems as they arise.

Benefits:

Based on proposed hourly rate, applicant should have their own computer system capable of strong CAD performance, high video graphics (gaming level) with min. 32 GB RAM, and acceptable/strong/reliable internet and anti-virus software. Applicant to carry independent personal health insurance, our compensation is worked into a higher hourly contract rate. Will consider aid if computer system/technology requires upgrading to meet performance required.
