SCOPE OF THE PROJECT :-
This will be a 12 month contract working for the client in design and development of the environment, Window systems and images, technical and engineer support, and one-on-one training to identified System Administrators.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:-
ā¢ Mid-Senior level Citrix VDI Architect will be responsible for providing level-2 and level-3 technical support for Citrix/XenApps server environment.
ā¢ This position will analyze and evaluate major system project requirements of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the system.
ā¢ Review user requirements and provide direction in the identification of problem and potential resolution. Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of complex, multiple inter-linked systems.
ā¢ Define system objectives and prepare system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems.
Key Responsibilities:-
ā¢ * Providing level-2 and level-3 technical support for Citrix / XenApps server environment
ā¢ Monitoring of VDI platform with various client tools Netscaler, ControlUP
ā¢ Support will include:
ā¢ VDI End-User Sessions
ā¢ VDI Stack
ā¢ Level-2 management and technical support
ā¢ Ensuring virtual sessions are working as intended
ā¢ Handling IT- VDI related requests or inquiries received by client helpdesk
ā¢ Ensuring all Citrix platform server systems under management have updated software patches
ā¢ XenDesktop Broker including VDI monitoring and alerting support of the Citrix /VMware applications which are responsible for delivery of the virtualized desktop or applications
ā¢ Ensure high levels of client satisfaction for the products/solutions which are supported
ā¢ Addresses all technical questions around VDI and Citrix
ā¢ Participate in client meetings to update team members
ā¢ Ability to be the technical Subject Matter Expert within the Environment
ā¢ Deploy and support core Microsoft services, AD, ADFS, DNS & DHCP, WSUS and Group Policy
Qualifications Skills, Experience & Qualifications
ā¢ Advanced system testing tool knowledge & experience.
ā¢ Strong technical experience with the following technologies.
ā¢ Ability to work well within a team environment.
ā¢ Experience with Workflow analysis.
ā¢ Technical collaboration for client problem solving.
ā¢ Ability to apply best practices to ensure maximum amount of production.
ā¢ Ability to provide one-on-one training to teammates.
Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):-
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with XenServer Administration.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with Citrix App Layering.
ā¢ An Associate degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relavent experience.
Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):-
ā¢ Experience troubleshooting systems, identifying root cause, and creating action plans to resolve issues.
ā¢ Experience working within complex VDI environment.
Required Certifications:-
ā¢ Citrix Administrator certification.
Additional Skills:-
ā¢ Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated with strong technical and problem solving skills.
ā¢ Ability to effectively communicate with large or small groups of people through written or spoken communication.
ā¢ Must be a self-starter demonstrating the willingness to address / resolve ambiguity and conflict.
