I am publishing a 32-page children’s picture book (ages 4–7) under my Publishing Company and am seeking a professional illustrator to create cohesive, print-ready artwork for the entire book.
Project includes:
Front cover (full wrap: front, spine, back)
16 full-bleed illustrated spreads (32 interior pages)
Consistent main character (golden retriever therapy dog)
Final files prepared for Amazon KDP and IngramSpark
This is a commercial publishing project, not a hobby book. I am looking for someone experienced in children’s publishing who understands storytelling through illustration and print production requirements.

Theme: Therapy dog bringing comfort in schools and public spaces
Target age: 4–7
The main character is a golden retriever therapy dog. Emotional expression and character consistency are critical.
I currently have AI-generated concept images for direction, but I am looking for a human illustrator to refine/recreate professionally with full commercial rights transfer.

✔ Cover illustration (front + spine + back layout)
✔ 16 full-bleed spreads
✔ 300 DPI
✔ CMYK color
✔ 8.5 x 8.5 trim
✔ 0.125 inch bleed
✔ All important elements inside safe margin
✔ Layered source files (PSD or AI)
✔ Flattened print-ready PDF (PDF/X-1a preferred)
Final files must be ready for upload to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark.
RIGHTS
This will be structured as Work-for-Hire.
Full commercial rights transfer required.
Illustrator may display work in portfolio after publication.
