Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Child Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in San Bernardino County, CA. As a Child Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotropic medication treatment to children and adolescents. Our ideal candidate is a board-certified or eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with excellent communication skills and experience working with diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents
Develop and implement individualized mental health treatment plans
Provide psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
Develop strong relationships with community providers and patients
Participate in teaching and supervising medical learners
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
Completion of a residency in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
Possession of a valid Physician and Surgeon's certificate issued by either the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
Possession of a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
Certified (or eligible for certification) as a Diplomate by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and/or Vietnamese
Experience working with seriously mentally ill, eating disorders, and under-served populations
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment teams
