Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Child Development Teacher to lead our early childhood education program, providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing curriculum, assessing children's progress, and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and community resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children. Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning. Assess children's progress and provide constructive feedback to parents and colleagues. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care and education. Supervise and monitor children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the needs of children, families, and staff. Essential Qualifications: One year or more of experience in a certified early childhood program (6mo-6yrs). Currently enrolled in the Oregon Child Care Division's Criminal Background Registry (CBR). Enrolled in the Oregon Registry Online with a step number (Step 9 or higher). Pre-employment drug screening (including Cannabis/THC). Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Experience working with children with diverse needs and backgrounds. Knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices. Skills and Competencies: Ability to apply early childhood development theory in daily activities and adapt to the individual needs of children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as a team member, collaborating with staff, parents, and community resources. Frequent significant decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Intermediate to advanced technology skills (such as computer, internet, e-mail, iPad, etc.). What We Offer: Competitive salary: $19-$23/hr., depending on qualifications and experience.
