As a Child and Youth Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of program participants. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of program participants Establish a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children, youth, and adults Prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedules and provide program options for children with special requirements Maintain program participation data and complete daily reports Serve as a role model and provide guidance and support to children and youth Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the program Maintain accurate records and reports as required Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing Current health assessment documenting good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with children and youth Knowledge of child development principles and practices Certifications in CPR, first aid, and medication administration Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with children, youth, and adults Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
