Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Addiction Recovery Center

About AUGR Inc AUGR Inc. is a private investment group that acquires and grows mission-driven service companies. We are adding a respected addiction recovery center in Southern California to our portfolio, and we are hiring a Chief Marketing Officer to build and lead the marketing engine that drives sustainable growth. The CMO will partner directly with the AUGR operating team to build brand presence, scale referrals, expand community reach, and strengthen the center’s digital and offline marketing performance. Role Summary The CMO will oversee all marketing, brand, referral development, and growth initiatives for the addiction recovery center. This leader will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that increases patient inquiries, strengthens community and clinical referral pipelines, and elevates the organization’s reputation. The CMO will work closely with AUGR and the CEO to implement scalable systems, improve funnel efficiency, and support long term expansion. Key Responsibilities • Build, own, and execute the overall marketing and brand strategy for the center • Develop digital acquisition campaigns including SEO, SEM, content, social, and web optimization • Strengthen referral relationships with physicians, therapists, hospitals, payers, EAP programs, and community partners • Oversee all brand messaging, storytelling, and patient-facing communication • Implement data-driven reporting, attribution models, and ROI tracking across all channels • Manage the marketing budget, forecast acquisition goals, and track CAC and LTV • Lead and grow a small high-performance marketing team • Optimize the patient inquiry pipeline, including call handling, conversions, and CRM workflows • Partner with AUGR to implement scalable marketing systems and infrastructure • Maintain compliant, ethical marketing practices in line with California and federal advertising standards for addiction treatment Qualifications • Five or more years of marketing leadership experience in addiction recovery • Proven success driving growth through digital and referral marketing • Strong understanding of compliance requirements for healthcare and addiction treatment marketing • Experience managing marketing budgets, agency relationships, and cross-channel campaigns • Strong analytical mindset with experience in CRM systems, funnel analytics, and KPI dashboards • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning abilities Job Type: Full-time Pay: $220,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • What's the size of the Annual Marketing Budget that you previously managed? • Have you previously marketed in the Addiction Recovery Space? if yes, how many years have you held this role?
