Chief Financial Officer - Mortgage Lending Industry Experience Only

Remote We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy, strengthen compliance and controls, and drive sustainable growth across our rapidly expanding mortgage operations. What You’ll Do • Lead Financial Strategy: Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure profitability, growth, and long-term sustainability. • Operational Excellence: Manage accounting, treasury, and regulatory compliance in accordance with GAAP and mortgage industry standards. • Risk & Compliance: Lead audits, implement robust financial controls, and strengthen risk management programs. • Capital Optimization: Oversee cash flow, warehouse lines, and capital structure to support lending operations. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to guide operational efficiency and profitability. • Systems & Automation: Enhance financial systems, automation, and reporting processes for greater accuracy and speed. • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team. • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership on company-wide strategy and long-term financial planning. What We’re Looking For • 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience; at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Deep understanding of mortgage lending, secondary markets, and regulatory compliance. • Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory oversight. • Proven success in risk management, capital management, and audit readiness. • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills. • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
