Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Architect to lead the design and development of our fintech and payments platform. As a Chief Architect, you will be responsible for designing and building a scalable, secure, and reliable platform that meets the needs of our customers and providers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, design, and analytics, to drive technical strategy and innovation. Key Responsibilities Act as the technical lead in the fintech and payments space, designing and building a platform that interfaces with various systems inside and outside Wayfair and partners globally. Develop and drive a long-term innovation strategy for Wayfair's fintech and payments environment. Design and review code to implement high-quality, adaptable, future-proof benefits that will have powerful framework limits and will support long-term vision and strategy. Direct technical discussions across a whole platform and help arrive at strong recorded resolutions. Drive high-influence compositional arrangements and involved advancement, including beginning, plan, execution, and conveyance following great plan and coding rehearses. Fanatically center around creation status for the group including testing, observing, arrangement, documentation, and proactive investigating. Recognize dangers and holes in specialized approaches and propose answers for meet the office's specialized vision. Impact and add to the division's methodology and guide. Support the development of different designers actually by coaching, matching, and creating different open doors for instruction. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in engineering, with a preference for candidates with a blend of start-up and large organization experience. Experience with cloud-native technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) at scale. Distributed systems experience. Data-based technologies in the cloud. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving teams forward and ability to influence results. Preferred Qualifications Experience with payments engineering, particularly with larger-scale integrations (Visas, supporting, BNPL, applications). E-commerce or client-facing technology experience on a high-traffic site. Active experience driving programming changes inside high-development conditions at scale.
