About the Role As a Chat Moderator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our Discord community remains a positive and engaging space for all members. This part-time, remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, at a time that suits you. You'll be responsible for moderating our chat, enforcing community guidelines, and providing a welcoming environment for users to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other. Key Responsibilities Moderate the chat on our official Discord server, ensuring compliance with community rules and guidelines. Delete messages that violate our community standards, and take appropriate action against repeat offenders. Ban or mute users who consistently breach our rules, providing clear explanations and support when needed. Investigate reports made by users regarding potential rule violations, and take prompt, fair action. Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere, encouraging constructive engagement and respect among members. Collaborate with other moderators and blithequark team members to maintain consistency and high standards in community management. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you'll need: To be at least 18 years old. A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse community members. Strong understanding of community moderation principles and practices. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote setting. Proficiency in using Discord and other online community management tools. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge: Previous experience in community management or moderation, particularly in online forums or social media platforms.
