Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Charge Master Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and overall integrity of facility chargemasters. You will oversee monitoring to ensure that all chargemasters remain compliant with applicable federal and state guidelines, as well as any standards set forth by facilities. You must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by taking ownership of issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner.

In this role, you will:
• Ensure proper maintenance of facility chargemasters and related processes by monitoring, or overseeing the monitoring, of standard exception reports and daily workflow approval processes.
• Ensure appropriate updates to facility chargemasters are made with quarterly HCPCS and annual CPT coding changes.
• Coordinate annual pricing updates with client facility Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Division CFOs, and staff as needed.
• Utilize an electronic audit trail and workflow to approve chargemaster modifications, additions and deletions.
• Coordinate with SSC Directors and Managers to identify trends and address issues related to claim rejections or payment denials directly associated to billing information generated by the Chargemaster.
• Analyze chargemaster standard exception reports according to the frequency required by policy and perform associated analyses and necessary updates.
• Review results of periodic audits and take appropriate action as indicated
• Evaluate education needs related to chargemaster and conduct periodic staff and customer in‐services

What qualifications you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
• Minimum three years’ experience in related are with two of these years being healthcare management experience
• Chart/Bill audit experience preferred
• Certified coding credentials preferred
• Experience with the HCA Patient Accounting, Artiva/Collections, Meditech, and Smart software is a plus
