This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, works independently, and is excited to contribute beyond transcription. You will be helping us define top-tier quality and procedures for a modern, tech-enabled deposition experience. In this hybrid role, you’ll combine traditional stenographic and scopist responsibilities while also acting as a trusted resource on Texas court reporting standards, advising our team on formatting, compliance, and other key nuances as we expand legal services across the state.What You Will Do:Produce and deliver high-quality, verbatim transcripts of depositions, hearings, and legal proceedingsUse CAT software and transcription tools to scope, proofread, and finalize transcriptsEnsure all work complies with state court reporting requirements and industry best practicesReview and consult on transcript formatting, compliance questions, and procedural workflowsCollaborate with our internal operations team on quality standards and process improvementsAppear for live proceedings in a certified stenographic capacity as neededWhat You Bring:Current Texas Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license (required)Familiarity with Texas-specific procedural rules or legal terminologyExperience with CAT software (e.g., Case CATalyst, Eclipse, etc.) and digital audio toolsAbility to self-manage multiple deadlines in a remote environmentA collaborative mindset and willingness to provide insights on transcription standards, legal formatting, and quality controlComfort with occasional live appearance work (e.g., remote depositions or proceedings)Experience working with legal marketplaces, agencies, or remote-first teamsWhy This Role?Remote, flexible workMix of stenographic, scopist, and consulting workHelp shape a modern, tech-enabled deposition experiencePotential to grow into a full-time roleJoin a detail-driven, collaborative, and fast-moving teamFilevine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
