Responsibilities

Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
Clerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical records.
Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by a physician.
QualificationsJob Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or Must be attained within three (3) months of hire
Current BLS certification
Preferred Job Requirements:

Previous similar clinic experience
Previous job experience in delivering exceptional customer service
Competent use of personal computers and software programs including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point)
Previous experience with EMR systems
One year experience in a physician’s practice setting
