As a Certified Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be a key part of our team, traveling between job sites, solving challenges, and keeping our fleet of vehicles and equipment in peak condition. What You’ll Do:

As our go-to Certified Diesel Mechanic you will tackle everything from routine inspections, oil changes, to maintenance on our company vehicles. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys mixing things up, problem-solving on the go, all while being an essential part of a fast-paced team!

What You’ll Bring:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicles and determine the appropriate repairs needed.
• Perform repairs and maintenance, including engine and transmission work, electrical repairs, and brake and suspension repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs and maintenance activities, including parts used and labor hours.
• Communicate with fleet management and supervisors regarding repair needs, maintenance schedules, and vehicle availability.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines in performing all work activities.
• Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to share knowledge and expertise.
• Keep up to date with new developments in automotive technology and make recommendations for improvements to fleet maintenance policies and procedures.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a trade school program in automotive technology is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• ASE certification in one or more areas of automotive repair is preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stoop, squat, crawl, climb, and perform other physical duties as needed for installations.
• Must be able to traverse uneven terrain in all types of weather.
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.

Reports to:
• Fleet Manager

Other Requirements
• Must be able to work weekends and at night, when needed
• Background check
• Must be at least 25, have an acceptable MVR, valid state driver's license
