Job Description:
The CDL A Driver with Hazmat endorsement will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role involves extensive driving, loading and unloading freight, and ensuring securement of the load prior to transit.
Responsibilities:
– Safely transport hazardous materials while complying with all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
– Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or mechanical concerns.
– Load and unload freight, ensuring securement of the load prior to transit.
– Communicate effectively with dispatch and other drivers.
– Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as required by DOT and company policy.
Requirements:
– Valid Class A Commercial DriverΒs License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
– Must pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
– Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
– Ability to lift, push or pull freight that weighs an average of 40-50 pounds and as much as 100 pounds.
– Good driving record with no traffic violations.
