Are you interested in Championing Professional Growth in Early Childhood Education? The CCRR (Child Care Resource & Referral) CDA Accreditation Coach supports early childhood educators in obtaining and maintaining their Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. This position provides individualized coaching, technical assistance, and training to help candidates successfully navigate the CDA accreditation process. The person for this position should live in the Service Area of East Tennessee. Qualifications : Must have Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences or related field. Three years of experience in this or related field required, including at least two years in a childcare setting serving children birth through age five. At least one year of experience facilitating or mentoring the professional development of at least one adult. Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills. Physical examination and record of negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers. Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance required. Willingness to travel statewide, working some nights and weekends. Must be able to work from a remote home environment within the state of TN. Undergo a background check that ensures eligibility to enter and work in child care centers in the state of Tennessee. Under the direction of the CDA and Accreditation Coordinator, the CDA and Accreditation Coach will have the following responsibilities: Lead and assist with the delivery of workshops and trainings designed to guide child care professionals through the CDA or Accreditation process. Maintain knowledge of current guidelines for attaining the CDA and accreditation through nationally recognized and state approved organizations. Understand and communicate the criteria for attaining a CDA or Accreditation as part of the TN QRIS system. Support director peer learning groups in collaboration with the Small Business team of coaches. Train CCR&R staff, center-based, family and group child early childhood professionals, DHS staff, and other DHS or funder-requested groups. Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance at times most convenient for our child care agencies and partners, which will require work on weeknights or weekends. Provide in-person training, coaching, and technical assistance to adult learners in both large group, small group, and individual settings. Participate in CCR&R Network staff meetings, local staff and partner meetings and other meetings called by DHS or partners, which may require overnight travel. Serve as facilitator for Train-the-Trainer Institutes and Supplemental Trainings as requested. Author content for CCR&R newsletter/social media/website as requested. Collaborate with applicable State agencies. Achieve and maintain credentials as a Professional Development Specialist by the CDA Council. Achieve and maintain First Aid/CPR instructor certification provided by CCR&R. Positively market the CCR&R Network to the community. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
