Catholic/Christian Fiction Book Editor

I am looking for a Developmental Editor for my soon-to-be self-published book. I’m not a newbie- I’ve published several feature articles in magazines, but this is my first book, and I want it to be at or exceed industry standards. I want people to be deeply moved, and yet enjoy reading my book. This book is very personal. Maybe some things will come up that need to be a part of the story, and some may need to be edited out. I would need to trust you with my heart and soul. The book is a fictionalized fable of a true happening in my life. I am influenced by the following authors: Khalil Gibran, C.S. Lewis, and Richard Bach. It is deeply Christian, with Catholic tones. As my editor, I would hope you are familiar with and favorable toward Catholicism. I am not expecting it to be mainstream, although if that happens, terrific. What I really want is integrity to my vision…and if what occurred with Khalil Gibran, the book achieving notoriety after my lifetime…or not, it’s immaterial. My definition of success is that after reading it, people are so moved that they feel the need to share it with someone. Commercial success would be a bonus. My process and status: my book has 15 chapters, and of them I have only 2.5 left to write. Chapters average 3000 words. Illustrations are finished. I am currently mastering the soundtrack, and I’ve developed a release timeline for its singles (I’m primarily an indie recording artist). I have two beta readers who will review the complete book: my music producer and my spiritual director. After that, I’m ready to work with you. I’m estimating we would begin to work together in February. I envision having a couple of progress meetings together before then. Taking my time to find the right person is important.
