The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.2024 Program Dates (two options)Program runs 10 weeks from June 10th – August 16th or June 17th – August 23rd.EligibilityEligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) or in Master’s program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2024.CompensationUndergraduate – $25.00/hr, Graduate – $35.00/hrIntern Project DetailsThis position is responsible for: developing decision support tools and reports for the Product Team. The intern will present result, formulate actionable recommendations to the business teams, and deliver the final product. In addition, the intern will work with the internal Data Scientists to incorporate the result into the workflow of the PCL’s cutting-edge revenue management system YODA.RequirementsData ScienceExperience with SQL, Python RProficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS TeamsAbility to work independently, remotely and self-manageWell organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managersThe types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skillsMajors PreferredOperations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied MathematicsWhat You Can ExpectGain valuable experience.
