Job Summary The Career Services Office Assistant II - Part-Time will provide a variety of administrative support duties to the Career Services department. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced office environment. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Career Services team, including answering telephones, responding to emails, and greeting students and office visitors Assist with the facilitation of special events, including career events, employer panels, workshops, and career fairs Monitor, approve, enter, oversee, and update online job database Prepare, enter, oversee, and maintain budget and budget transactions Provide log-in information and demonstrations of career services assessments and career management system Perform office support activities, including opening and distributing mail, processing outgoing mail, making travel arrangements, and preparing requisitions Prepare and maintain monthly reports and end-of-year data requests/reports Act as receptionist and receive and screen visitors and telephone calls Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred One year of office/clerical experience (or similar) required Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office environment Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in educational institutions Familiarity with career services software and systems Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Work Environment and Culture College of the Mainland is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment. As a part-time employee, you can expect to work approximately 19 hours per week in a hybrid work model, combining remote work with time in our office.
