Cardio Device Technician - Heart and Vascular
About the position A Day in the Life Function as a subject matter expert and champion of patient care, under the supervision of our electrophysiologists, for our cardiac device patients by providing thorough pacemaker, AICD interrogation and reprogramming. Prepares patient for and assists with examinations. Makes changes to the settings of the device per physician direction. Recognizes abnormalities, malfunctions and End of Service indicators; notifies cardiologist and assists in scheduling patients for follow up or replacement as indicated. Requirements • Cardiac Device Specialist Certification required within 5 years of hire. • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred. • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac telemetry, electrocardiogram tech, monitor tech or device monitoring • Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac services required; 1 year of cardiac device experience preferred. • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree preferred. • 1 year of cardiac device experience preferred.
