Job Description Harborview Medical Center's Nursing Support Program has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Cardiac Monitor Technician. WORK SCHEDULE: 90% FTE, 36 hours weekly Night Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The program provides monitoring from a central monitoring center for patients who require cardiac telemetry surveillance. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Conveniently located near public transportation Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the patient’s care team with surveillance of cardiac monitors, including identification and communication of dysrhythmias, Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring platforms (E.g., Clinical Access/Spacelabs, Phillips), EPIC software, and additional communication platforms, Participates in departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication, and quality improvement, Assist with the clerical and support activities, and other delegated tasks, to support in-patient remote telemetry units, REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED Successful completion of a course in cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, OR, one (1) year of experience in monitor surveillance in a coronary care/telemetry unit.
