Responsibilities: • Operates implantable device programmers from all companies • Interview patients, interrogate devices, interpret and document diagnostics on a flow sheet • Remote monitor patients’ devices by logging in daily, receive event alerts and summary reports• Inform/alert the physician to any therapy or pertinent events in a timely manner. • Contact patients to answer questions or troubleshoot home monitoring connections when disconnected • Schedule patients into the device clinic as required • Stay informed about new cardiac devices and algorithms available • Report device malfunction’s, codes, and advisories to technical services • Other related duties may be assigned Requirements: • Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices from all companies, cardiac anatomy, and physiology• Basic pharmacology, specifically anticoagulants and antiarrhythmics• Knowledge of EKG's, three and twelve lead as well as Interpretation of diagnostics, EKG’s and EGM’s is required• Completion of a Medical Assistant program• 2 years of experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology is required About Dallas/Fort Worth, TX: Dallas/Fort Worth, known as the Metroplex, offers a vibrant urban life and peaceful suburban living, making it an enticing place to reside.
