Campus Recruiter

The Campus Recruiter will be responsible for generating interest and cultivating a pool of candidates from designated college campuses to apply as AmeriCorps members, while building strong relationships with students and campus leaders.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategies to engage groups of students and alumni from colleges and universities within your designated portfolioBuild and maintain relationships with campus partners, including career services, faculty, and student organizationsDeliver engaging presentations, host tabling events, and participate in career fairs to promote the AmeriCorps member opportunityBuild and manage a pipeline of prospective candidates, nurturing interest in City Year and the AmeriCorps member roleConduct 1:1 informational meetings and respond to candidate inquiries to provide personalized support and informationIdentify high-potential candidates and offer tailored coaching to help them navigate the application and interview processServe as a champion of inclusion for all within the recruitment function, ensuring that recruitment processes offer opportunities for allEnsure recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts reflect City Year’s commitment to educational opportunity and the advancement of those furthest from opportunityGuide candidates through the application process, offering clear communication on timelines, expectations, and requirementsPrepare candidates for interviews by conducting mock interviews, sharing best practices, and setting expectations for AmeriCorps serviceEngage in candidate interviews year-round to stay informed about candidate experiences and continuously refine the interview processCollaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of candidates once they are selected for interviews or invited to serveSupport recruitment campaigns, events, and initiatives to amplify City Year’s reach and impactProvide regular updates to the Recruitment Director, or sites as requested, on recruitment progress, challenges, and insightsTrack and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and identify areas for improvementMaintain accurate candidate records in CRM and applicant tracking systems, ensuring timely follow-up and communicationProvide feedback on recruitment strategies to enhance candidate mission-driven environmentsProven ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of groups, including students, campus partners, and community leadersStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling messages in both group and individual settingsProficiency in managing multiple priorities and projects, meeting deadlines with attention to detailFlexibility to travel within your designated portfolio as needed to support recruitment effortsA valid Driver's License is requiredFamiliarity with CRM systems, applicant tracking systems, or
