Job title: Campus Chief Engineer Company: Preston Trail Community Church Job description: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Staff lead responsible for all routine weeknight ministry events to ensure safety, security, and proper maintenance of the building • Lead, oversee and facilitate the successful set up for all church events • Create and lead hospitable environment for every event and for every person connected to or attending the event • Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner • Leads and motivates team to assist guests and resolve issues in a timely manner • Supervises, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for the church, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, A/H units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts • Ensure work conforms to accepted practices and codes • Collaborate on the creation, management and operation within departmental budget and expense plans • Adhere to capital expense standard operating procedures • Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time and on budget • Manage and direct Safety program • Works closely Preston Trail Staff to ensure coordination of activities and AV needs • Assists in overall security of the Church campus, including door locks, key security, asset protection, and enforcing all safety policies and procedures • Aids and instructs vendors and team members in scheduling work, ordering material and completing assignment by a specified date • Familiarize self with blueprints, contracts, and contractors • Interprets specifications, job orders and company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all systems and equipment • May estimate, requisition and inspect materials • May confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. • May set up machines and equipment • Provide repair and maintenance support for the facilities team including light mechanical, carpentry, electrical and plumbing repair projects • Provide support for the operations team including door lock schedules, setting up & resetting of rooms and cleaning spills & messes • Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends YOU KNOW YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF • If you love working with your hands to accomplish a set of tasks • You don’t mind other people adding things to your to do list • You walk into a place of business and notice the light that has burned out • When people look at your house, they comment on how well maintained it is • You would rather be the person behind the scenes setting something up so another person is resourced properly • Your garage has a spot for every tool and every tool is in its spot • You have a positive outlook on a challenging task PRESTON TRAIL COMMUNITY CHURCH MISSION AND CULTURE • Aligns with Preston Trail mission, beliefs, and values ( ) * Committed to our team values of Self-Leadership, Positive Attitude, Team Mindset, Healthy Relationships, and High Performance • The person who fills this role will be working with every member of the Campus Staff, other Central Staff, and outside contractors and guests. This person should reflect the culture of Preston Trail Community church QUALIFICATIONS • Must be able to work in a fast-paced event delivery work environment • Must have experience at event management and know how to set up different conference/event • Completing maintenance and repair work orders submitted for the campus • Light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and/or ballasts, touching up paint, small drywall repairs, etc. (Report to supervisor any work that is outside of your capacity and requires an outside contractor) • Facilitate any setups as needed for our internal ministry events, and outside events • Sit in weekly campus staff meetings to develop good working relationships with the campus staff and to better understand the activities and events happening on that campus • Occasional custodial duties as needed • Assist with weekly inter-campus deliveries • Occasionally assist at other campuses for any large events or projects • Willing to learn the operation and maintenance of our facility work environment, building and other control apparatus and devices to include pneumatic, and direct digital control systems • Complete service requests and/or repairs requested by staff or volunteers while on-site • Demonstrated skills in communicating effectively and responding timely to emails/texts/Microsoft Teams chats • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Apple operating system • Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing as required to communicate with customers, supervisors, and other employees and to complete work-related documentation • Ability to work in a team environment • The ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time • Must complete our employment application and assessment within 2 business days of applying online EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. • Certificate from a Vocational Institution and completion of apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing and electrical repair preferred • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in the maintenance field and three years’ experience in the plumbing, electrical and painting trades, pools/spas (if applicable) OR an equivalent level of education and experience preferred • Current Driver’s License required and must have unrestricted rights to work in the US ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS MINISTRY TEAM: Operations Team REPORTS TO: Campus Director of Operations EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATIONS • Category: Full-time (40 hours per week) • Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-exempt • Employee Class: Support Staff • Commissionable: No • Weekends Required: Yes • Remote Work: No Expected salary: Location: Frisco, TX Job date: Mon, 06 Mar 2023 07:20:26 GMT Apply for the job now!
