Call Taker​/developed into Dispatcher -1st Shift

Position: Call Taker (To be developed into a Dispatcher) -1st Shift Stepp's Towing and Heavy Transport is looking for a Call Taker, which is a front-line position. This position requires effective and timely communication directly with incoming phone calls, accurately processing and entering call information into the dispatch software system, while also delivering a high level of customer service to all phone inquiries. Please DO NOT apply if you're looking for a remote position, unable to work the hours as described, or unable to pass a drug test and background check. Essential Functions: • Receive and promptly answer emergency and non-emergency calls. • Gather all required and pertinent information: Name and phone number, disablement location and drop address, vehicle info, cause of breakdown, etc. • Perform duties of the Dispatcher Assistant in their absence as directed.
