Position Overview

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Call Center Representative to join our Patient Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing new patient enrollments, handling high-volume customer requests, and resolving complex issues related to prescription data entry. This position offers both in-office and remote work opportunities, giving you the flexibility to work in an environment that best suits your needs.

As a key member of our team, you will work under direct supervision to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines while providing exceptional service to our patients. Your expertise in data entry, your understanding of pharmacy procedures, and your commitment to customer satisfaction will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities


Patient Enrollment & Data Entry: Process new patient enrollment by accurately entering information into our prescription data entry systems following arenaflex guidelines and procedures. Ensure all data is entered correctly and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Prescription Processing: Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines, including entering refill orders for processing. Investigate and obtain missing prescription information as needed.

Medical Documentation: Interpret clinical abbreviations and SIG codes to ensure accurate prescription processing. Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and ensure complete documentation.

Patient Communication: Handle inbound calls, emails, and visits from patients with professionalism and empathy. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to resolve issues or gather required information.

Third-Party Resolution: Resolve third-party rejections by assessing situations, collecting information, creating prescriptions, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements. Contact insurance providers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve rejections.

Pharmacy Support: Provide assistance to Pharmacists, both those in your office and those in other locations. Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.

Compliance: Maintain working procedures and perform duties in accordance with company policies and techniques. Stay current with all required certifications and licensing.

Licensing Requirements: Obtain an active technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain an active professional license or certification throughout employment.


Essential Qualifications


Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older

Computer Skills: Basic level computer skills including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse functions, start and close programs, switch between programs, save documents, print documents, and access information online

Web Navigation: Basic web browser skills including opening a browser, typing URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms

Keyboard Skills: Intermediate level keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM) with the ability to type from memory and organize documents

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications


Previous pharmacy technician experience (minimum 1 year) in a retail or call center environment

Pharmacy technician certification or registration (minimum 1.5 years) granted by the State Board of Pharmacies or a nationally recognized certification organization

Experience providing customer care to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction

Advanced keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM) with the ability to type from memory and organize documents efficiently

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English

Compensation & Benefits
