We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to provide remote education services to students across California. This 1099 independent contractor position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students' learning and development. Candidates must have an active California teaching certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide virtual teaching services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across California.
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support each students academic progress.
Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other education professionals to ensure a comprehensive support plan for students.
Utilize a comprehensive toolkit to enhance lessons and increase student engagement.
Keep accurate records of student progress, assessments, and lesson outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active California teaching certification.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is preferred.
Teletherapy experience is a plus, but not required.
