California Attorney Editor (Family Law)
Beacon Hill is seeking a California-licensed Family Law Attorney for a contract position as an Attorney Editor supporting the development of practical legal content. This is a flexible, home-based opportunity to contribute your legal expertise in a part-time role with national impact.
• Duration: 3+ months
• Location: Remote but candidates must be located and licensed in California
• Hours: 10-15 hours per week, flexible scheduling as long as deadlines are met (Concurrent employment is permitted)
• Rate: $42-$45/hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Part-Time (10-15 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and revise practical guidance content focused on California family law.
• Update pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and related family law documents.
• Add state-specific insights, procedural details, and best practices based on California law and legal practice.
• Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and practical for other legal professionals.
Required Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member, in good standing, of the California State Bar.
• 5+ years of substantive family law practice experience in California.
• Proven experience drafting family law pleadings and legal documents.
• Strong writing, editing, and legal research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (especially using track changes).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines independently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
