C# .NET Software Developer

GDIT’s DOJ OJP team seeks an experienced critical thinker and problem solver to join the application development team. This skilled C# .NET developer will design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that are hosted in multiple cloud and Windows environments. They will gain an in-depth knowledge of the program and system while supporting daily operations, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve operations, and developing requested system enhancements.

Duties Include:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements and bug fixes.
• Participate in backlog grooming, requirements gathering and solution design sessions.
• Perform upgrades to system components, as needed.
• Troubleshoot occasional issues with the system
• Support the team during security audits and contribute to maturation of the overall security of the system and related operations
• Monitor system performance to identify opportunities for resource optimization and software improvement
• Develop technical documentation and instructions for both team support and publication

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of C# software design and development experience
• .NET Framework (4.x) development/configuration
• ASP.NET Web Forms development (2.x – 4.x) development
• ASP.NET MVC development (3.x+) development
• ASP.NET Web API development
• Microsoft Entity Framework development
• Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ database development
• JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
• HTML 5.0
• Elasticsearch/AWS OpenSearch
• Technical documentation development
• Amazon (AWS) development experience

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with Kanban and Scrum
• Experience developing and executing strategies to manage technical debt

Education
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• A master's degree or professional software development experience may be preferred for remote position.

Contract Requirements:
• Contract Requires US Citizenship
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Agency specific Public Trust clearance
