Upon completion of a six month probationary period and satisfactory completion of a BV-107 PIC type rating, serve as a long-line pilot-in-command of a BV-107 in support of one or more of Columbia’s flight operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate aircraft to the highest standard, safety, and efficiency:Utilizing sound aeronautical decision making (ADM), risk management, and situational awareness (SA).In accordance with company policy, regulations, and guidance.Orchestrate the flight operation and the activities of all personnel under the scope of their responsibility.Represent the company in a positive manner in all activities.Promote Columbia’s core values and integrity while in conduct of their duties.Meet customer expectations to ensure the highest possible customer service.Actively identify and mitigate safety concerns and/or risks.Seek opportunities for improvement and productivity.Coordinate and supports the project team.Perform any required administrative functions.Assist wherever possible in the overall success of the operation.Keep Columbia management and other interested parties informed of job activities or other relevant information.Serves as Project Lead in the absence of the Site Manager.Perform other duties as assigned by the V.P. of Aerial Operations, Director of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot, and Assistant Chief Pilot.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSCommercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot with Rotorcraft-Helicopter class ratingCurrent Class II (or higher) FAA medical certificationRecent experience in similar aircraft weight class (Type 1 or Type 2 Helicopter) Preferred but not requiredRecent experience in similar types of operation (utility, firefighting, construction, logging, government DoD)US or equivalent passport2,500 hours total time2,000 hours PIC time500 hours cross country25 hours night cross country100 hours night time75 hours instrument actual or simulated250 hours Long Line (150’ or greater) preferred, must be proficient with a long lineAble to work in austere environments for prolonged periods (28 days)Ability to work without supervisionAbility to work in a team, high stress environmentSupervisory skillsOn call 24/7 via company cell phone when on shiftEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
