Business Risk Analyst
Work Module: Remote, East Coast hours
Duration: 8+ Month Contract
About the Job
• As an Operational Risk Business Analyst, you will lead structured, end‑to‑end operational risk assessments across Consumer Banking processes. You will partner with cross‑functional teams, facilitate collaborative workshops, and produce high‑quality risk and control documentation that supports business integrity and operational excellence.
• This role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder facilitation, and the ability to translate complex processes into clear risk insights. You will manage 2–3 concurrent risk assessments and ensure deliverables meet quality and governance standards.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate operational risk assessments across multiple Consumer Bank processes.
• Review and analyze process maps, documentation, and workflows to identify risks and design controls.
• Lead workshops and working sessions to align large stakeholder groups on risk and control decisions.
• Develop, refine, and maintain high‑quality risk and control documentation.
• Partner with risk, controls, and business stakeholders to gather feedback and secure approvals.
• Manage multiple parallel assessments, ensuring timely execution of key milestones.
• Provide insights on process gaps, control effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operational risk management within financial services or a structured operational environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience facilitating discussions and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to identify risks, write process documentation, and design controls.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with risk data or control data.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assessments while maintaining quality and accuracy.
