Job Title: Business Intelligence Engineer Location: Remote Job type: W2/Fulltime with Infinite Computer Solutions Technical Professional Services Business Intelligence Engineer • Job Summary We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our professional services organization and work on custom enhancements. In this role, BIE will be responsible for various tasks related to Data Compass platform report customizations, ETL, and technical support. Working closely with Implementation team and Business leaders. This role will contribute to scoping and estimating Customer Change Requests, writing SQL, creating Views, updating existing ETLs and creating or modifying Cognos reports. Additionally, this role will involve defect triage and work with Sr Professional Services team members. • Experience Level With Bachelor s degree: 4-6+ years experience With Master s degree and above: 2 4+ years experience • Technical Expertise (Mandatory) List must-have technical skills with proficiency level (beginner, Intermediate, proficient and Expert): • Cognos (Expert): Expertise in designing and developing reports, dashboards, and data models • SQL queries (Expert): Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and creating data sources for reporting. • Streamsets (Intermediate): Creating and maintaining pipelines • Cloud storage tools (Intermediate) S3, Snowflake • Data visualization (Expert): Ability to apply best practices in data visualization to create intuitive and insightful reports • Data Warehousing (proficient): Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture, including star and snowflake schemas • ETL optimizations (proficient): Familiarity with operational aspects of ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, while optimizing for performance • Technical Expertise (Good to Have) • Database performance testing tool knowledge • Project management tools like Clarity • Functional/Doman/Product Expertise (Mandatory) • Understanding of banking/financial workflows • Functional/Doman/Product Expertise (Good to Have) • Retail banking / Business banking • Exposure to US digital payments • Exposure to fintech solutions • Core banking systems • Key Job Responsibilities (Mandatory tasks the candidate must perform) • Design, develop, and maintain Business Analytics applications • Expertise in designing and developing reports, dashboards, and data models within Cognos, with a focus on translating business requirements into actionable reports • Work with Project Lead on day-to-day tasks and activities. • Implement customizations based on client requirements and project specifications. • Aid the Team Lead in scoping and estimating Customer Change Requests. • Resolve technical issues assigned in a timely and efficient manner. • Optimize application performance and ensure high availability. Address performance issues and contribute to their resolution. • Assist in the technical aspects of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pilot projects, and go-live plans. • Skills in optimizing Cognos reports and queries for better performance, including monitoring read/write operations and storage optimization. • Additional Responsibilities (Good to Have) • Communication skills to articulate technical concepts to business users and actively engage in client meetings. • Knowledge of data governance principles, including data quality and security management • Participate in architectural reviews and discussions. • Ability to gather and analyze requirements from business users to create effective reporting solutions. • Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory) • IBM Certified Cognos Analytics v12 Analyst • IBM Certified Developer - Cognos Analytics Apply tot his job
