The RoleWe are seeking a Business Development Representative (Factories) to join our team! In this role, your primary focus will be on identifying, qualifying, and onboarding factory partners—particularly in South America and other regions as determined by leadership. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our global manufacturing network to support The/Studio’s growing custom product operations.You’ll work closely with our Supply Chain, Product, and Operations teams to help scale our factory partnerships through proactive outreach and relationship-building. This is a highly hands-on, research- and outreach-heavy role with real impact on our global production capabilities.What You’ll Do:In this role you’ll:Identify and source high-potential factories that align with The/Studio’s quality, compliance, and production standardsConduct outbound prospecting—including cold outreach, supplier platform research, and industry networking—to locate and qualify factory partnersBuild a pipeline of factory prospects, ensuring proper follow-up and documentationCollaborate with the Product and Operations teams to vet, onboard, and assess factories for specific categories or customer requirementsMaintain accurate records of outreach, negotiations, and onboarding steps in our CRM and internal tracking toolsEvaluate and communicate factory capabilities, certifications, pricing, and reliabilityCoordinate and schedule calls between factory contacts and internal stakeholders for further vettingHelp improve and streamline sourcing processes and tools as we scaleWithin 1 month you'll:Learn how The/Studio’s sourcing model worksUnderstand what makes a qualified factory and how to identify red flagsBegin filtering through existing factory databases and outbound channels to generate your first qualified leadsWithin 3 months you'll be:Build a healthy pipeline of active factory prospectsStart closing strong factory partnerships that support our product and quality needsCollaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute ideas to improve factory outreachWithin 6 months:Develop deep insight into factory performance metrics and how they impact our supply chainConsistently exceed factory outreach and qualification targetsIntroduce new sourcing methods, platforms, or tools to strengthen our global manufacturing baseAbout You:1+ years of experience as an outbound focused Business or Sales Development Representative (or similar)Strong & creative negotiation skillsCritical thinker and extremely data-driven: this is performance-based marketing not engagement/brand.Minimum C1 level of EnglishExperience with a CRM like Hubspot, Salesforce, or PipedriveExperience with tools like Sales Navigator, Apollo, Salesloft, Cognism, etc. The/Studio’s Company ValuesIntellectually curious - possesses a natural disposition and comfort to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and a desire to ‘get to the bottom of things’ if they see something not quite rightSelf-motivated with a meaningful reason to deliver excellenceGood communication skills that enhance collaboration, minimize misunderstandings, and at a frequency that is appropriate for a remote teamRadical candor - Coachable, accepting of constructive negative feedback and willing to provide constructive negative feedback where applicableOperates with a level of urgency - values immediate action where prudent, enables quick decision-making, swift problem-solving, and seizing opportunities in a dynamic business environmentNatural customer centricity - has an affinity to always start their train of thought or analysis with the customer’s perspective, bias towards talking to the customer to understand themResults-driven - focuses on achieving and exceeding measurable objectives Our Typical Hiring ProcessSubmit an application.
