Make your mark with Nextpower.The Nextpower Business Development Manager, Tools & Services, will be based in Fremont, CA, San Rafael, CA, or Remote. The Business Development Manager, Services, is a commercial leader responsible for accelerating growth within Nextpower’s tracker tools and services portfolio. This role owns sales growth, market expansion strategy, and builds customer relationships across the utility-scale solar industry. You will lead sales cycles from opportunity creation through contract execution, partnering cross-functionally to bring new offerings to market and deliver measurable customer value.What You’ll DoCommercial Strategy & GrowthDevelop and execute global growth strategies for Nextpower’s tools and services portfolioDrive and close new business opportunitiesOwn the full sales cycle: prospecting, solution development, pricing strategy, negotiation, and closureDevelop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue growth.Collaborate with Nextpower's global account management team to identify value-add opportunities for tool and services solutions.Customer & Market Leadership Establish trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makersTranslate customer operational challenges into differentiated service and tools solutionsRepresent Nextpower at industry events and conferences to elevate brand visibility and thought leadershipMaintain strong market intelligence on industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging customer needsCross-Functional ExecutionPartner with regional sales, supply chain, operations, product, and project management teams to ensure successful solution deliveryCollaborate cross-functionally to define new service offerings, pricing models, and scalable commercial processesSupport internal alignment between commercial strategy and operational executionWhat we’re looking for:A collaborative, team-first mindsetStrong customer orientation and consultative selling capabilityA bias toward innovation and continuous improvementDisciplined execution and ownership mentalityExceptional written and verbal communication skillsHigh business acumen and negotiation expertiseAgility in dynamic, fast-evolving market conditionsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field5+ years of B2B sales experience in a sales or business development role within a global companyProven ability to manage complex salesStrong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to execute and manage multiple tasks in parallelHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systemsExperience utilizing CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP (Netsuite preferred) systemsAbility to travel 25% of the timePreferred QualificationsExperience in renewable energy, utility-scale solar, or adjacent industriesCommercial or technical experience with O&M and Asset Management ServicesNextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package. The annual salary range for this position is 120,000.00 to 150,000.00 plus a commission structure based on commission calculation, such as percentage of sales or specific metrics.
