What's the Job?As a Business Development Executive, youâll be responsible for the entire sales cycle â from prospecting to closing â to generate new business in the Americas region. Youâll use your outbound prospecting skills to connect with potential customers and qualify opportunities, while also responding to inbound leads and guiding them through the sales journey. Your mission is to identify prospects within our community and turn them into happy customers.In this role, youâll focus on B2B sales and engage with a variety of customer roles â from CTOs and software architects to developers. Youâll work closely with a global team of Business Development Executives and Sales Development Representatives and report directly to the Head of New Business. At a broader level, youâll be part of the Sales department, led by our VP of Sales.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience in Business Development, Sales Development, or New Customer Acquisition.Key Responsibilities
Drive new customer acquisition through technical consulting and subscription sales (B2B)
Own outbound lead generation in the Americas, in collaboration with Marketing
Qualify and nurture inbound and outbound leads through early-stage engagement
Build and manage your sales pipeline with clean CRM practices
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth customer journey
Engage with developers, technical leaders, and decision-makers
Stay current on Vaadinâs product offerings and open-source ecosystem
What skills do you need?
2+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, B2B Sales closing role or early-stage sales/business development role
Bachelorâs degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
Outbound/inbound prospecting skills
Solid understanding of sales processes and lead qualification
Comfortable communicating with both technical and business decision-makers
Experience with HubSpot CRM is a plus
Experience in software or developer tools sales is a strong advantage
Experience in new customer acquisition is highly valued
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Team player with excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
