Business Data Analyst

Must have: Microsoft Azure Data tools or Snowflake Technologies
This role supports data development and maintenance efforts of the Data & Analytics activities and initiatives in alignment with the Enterprise Data strategy, policies, and organizational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
ā¢ Reviews, analyzes, and creates detailed documentation of business rules and data needs.
ā¢ Coordinates discussions with business/stakeholders and cross functional/technical teams to capture and review use cases, requirements, and another technical document. Ensure all business requirements are accurately reflected and accounted for (including data lineage and transformations)
ā¢ Collaborates with developers and architects to define and document the data solution to meet needs outlined in the business rules and needs.
ā¢ Responsible for ensuring business/stakeholder approval, which passes audit scrutiny, for data solutions delivered in a production state.
ā¢ Documents data ingestion, transformation, and consumption including workflows, data models, data classification, and steps required to curate trusted data.
ā¢ Responsible for ensuring all documentation reflects the current state and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect proper state of data.
ā¢ Support the cloud data framework that aligns with the Enterprise Data Strategy, policies, and organizational goals.
ā¢ Ensures that the delivered data and processes fulfill the documented business rules and data needs.
ā¢ Ensure that all items follow company change management process.
ā¢ Participate in scrum, backlog grooming, refinement, planning and review sessions.
ā¢ Presents documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data models.
ā¢ Champions department standards for documentation and ensures that all assigned projects meet compliance and can withstand audit scrutiny.
ā¢ Peer Reviews documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data models.
ā¢ Create data models based on the data solution decisions and conceptual models in collaboration with the data architect and developer.
ā¢ Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ā¢ Demonstrated Data Query Skills
ā¢ Competent in Microsoft Azure Data tools or Snowflake Technologies.
ā¢ Background and experience in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Transformation and Data Reporting.
ā¢ Experience problem solving and root cause analysis.
ā¢ Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines
ā¢ Competent in Agile and Scrum processes
ā¢ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
ā¢ Prior knowledge of, or willingness to learn, healthcare and analytics industries.
