I’m looking for a brief consultation regarding a dispute with a third-party logistics provider (3PL) in Illinois. They acknowledged inventory as 100% received without physically verifying it (“blind receiving”), and the inventory is now missing. I have this admission in writing. The contract includes a $0.50/lb liability cap, which they are relying on, but I believe their failure of reasonable care may affect how that limitation applies.
