Job Title: Business Analyst-Technical Writer
Location: Newport Beach, CA(Hybrid)
Duration: Contract
Role Overview: Seeking a Business Analyst to document internal standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
Ā Documentation Expertise: Proven experience in writing formal documentation that meets regulatory standards, ideally within the financial services or asset management sectors.
Ā Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, preferably within the EU, but not mandatory. Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to DORA requirements.
Ā Information Synthesis: Ability to gather and synthesize information from various internal sources such as Wiki, Intranet, and other documentation repositories.
Ā Areas of Focus:
Ā Capacity Management and Load Balancing: Document processes to ensure systems can handle peak loads and maintain operational efficiency.
Ā Monitoring and Alerting: Develop documentation for continuous monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to incidents promptly.
Ā Failover Testing: Create detailed procedures for regular failover testing to ensure seamless transition to backup operations.
Ā Backup and Restoration: Document robust backup and restoration processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Ā Incident Response: Develop TechOps / NOC playbooks for incident response, including incident tracking and corrective action logs.
Ā Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, and compliance teams.
Ā Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Ā Project Management: Basic project management skills to track progress and ensure timely completion of documentation tasks.
Ā Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Ā Location: Based onsite in our Newport Beach office.
Ā Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a global asset management company or similar financial institution is a plus.
