Business Analyst - Product Master Data Management (PMDM) 100% Remote Must Haves: • Experience with Product MDM, or at minimum exposure to MDM, along with a solid understanding of product data, metadata, and data governance • Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements, translating them into user stories, performing data analysis and profiling, and supporting SIT/UAT in an Agile environment • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data modeling tools • Experience with STEP/Stibo or another MDM platform is a plus • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Hands-on experience supporting data-driven initiatives The Product MDM Business Analyst is responsible for bridging business and technical teams to improve processes and systems by gathering requirements, performing data analysis, and designing prototypes of product master data management (MDM) solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and with technical teams to implement solutions that meet those requirements. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of product data and MDM concepts, as well as experience in business analysis and stakeholder management. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. • Experience with STEP/Stibo platform or in product MDM or Master Data or Data Analytics will be an additional advantage. • Understanding of product data and MDM concepts. • Strong understanding of Agile application development • JIRA • SQL experience will be an advantage • Familiar with data modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word/PPT, Google docs suite. • Knowledge of metadata standards (ONIX, ISBN, BISAC, etc.) • Solid understanding of publishing product lifecycles • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities • Gather and document business requirements for product MDM solutions • Work with business to understand business needs and pain points. • Understand business processes and interactions between all upstream systems, PMDM, and downstream systems. • Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications. • Identify data sources, data attributes, and data relationships related to product master data. • Define and document business rules, workflows, and data policies within the PMDM system. • Work with business and technical teams to write business cases for budget approvals. • Define and document product MDM processes and data models. • Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document product data standards, naming conventions, and data governance policies. • Identify and resolve data quality issues and recommend process improvements. • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support System Integration Testings (SIT) • Work with technical teams to implement and support product MDM solutions.
