Business Analyst (Hybrid)

NYCM Insurance is seeking a Business Analyst to work with divisions and project teams to elicit and communicate user stories and business requirements. The role involves creating and updating documentation to achieve project goals and collaborating with stakeholders to improve business processes and services.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and understand business requirements with divisional stakeholdersExperience testing and mapping various business processes and protocolsReviews the business and process impact and risks involvedMonitor regulatory impactsValidate and assess requirements, processes, and business logic is implemented as requestedIdentify and communicate with key stakeholdersLiaison between various departments and strategize ideas to improve business processes, services, products, and softwareProvide suggestions to stakeholders based on analysisCollaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teamsMaintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operationsRequirement walk-through with stakeholders and project teamCapture meeting minutes with business comments on requirementsAssist with creating mockupsUpdate stakeholders and team on changes to specificationsSkillsHigh School Diploma and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in business, accounting, finance or a related fieldWorking knowledge of insuranceProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies process improvements and operational decisionsResourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problemsFamiliarity with industry technology and home grown systems to gather and problem solveEffective written, oral, listening, leadership and interpersonal skillsCreative problem-solving skillsTake initiative to learn and apply new processes and applicationsPositive professional attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to be successful in a collaborative environmentCompany OverviewNYCM Insurance is a property and casualty insurance carrier that has been providing coverage to residents and businesses in New York since 1899.
