Position Title: Business Analyst

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the implementation of strategies for content management, assessment systems, and support/ticketing solutions within an educational technology environment. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, project team members, and leadership to analyze workflows, identify pain points, document requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Conduct in-depth stakeholder interviews with educators, administrators, IT staff, and scholars to gather insights into workflows, system challenges, and requirements.
Analyze current processes related to content management, assessment systems, and support/ticketing workflows.
Document and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Process Documentation and Improvement
Map existing workflows and processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with team members to design future-state workflows for content authoring, publishing, assessment management, and ticketing systems.
Develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, user journeys, and decision matrices.
Technology Evaluation and Recommendations
Assist in evaluating build-vs-buy solutions for content management, assessment, and support systems.
Conduct gap analyses between current systems and proposed solutions.
Work with the technical team to define system integration requirements and identify dependencies.
Project Support and Communication
Collaborate with the project team to track progress, update project plans, and identify risks.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and addressed.
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
Monitoring and Feedback
Support the development of success metrics and monitoring plans for each phase of the project.
Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders during and after implementation.
Propose adjustments and improvements based on data and feedback.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Education, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the education or technology sector.
Experience with educational tools (e.g., LMS, CMS, SIS) is a strong advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio) and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Notion).
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk).
Knowledge of data security standards (e.g., FERPA, GDPR) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
