Candidate Must Have's on a resume and for submittal: • How many years working with: Business Analyst • How many years working with: Derivatives Execution & Clearing • How many years working with: Capital Markets Job Description: Business Overview: • BNP Derivatives Execution and Clearing (DEC) US is part of BNP Paribas CIB, operating through one FCMs in the US: BNP Paribas Sec Corp. • Direct clearing member or intermediary on all major listed derivatives markets, BNP DEC offers execution and clearing facilities to hundreds of external and internal clients. • BNP DEC operates a Front to back platform based on multiple software with numerous interactions with exchanges and clearing houses. The DEC services system architecture is a combination of vendor and proprietary software applications which provide our clients with the exchange traded derivative securities clearing and settlement services. In-house developments are maintained to complete the vendors' service offer and provide a customizable reporting offer. • Physical presence in BNPP's office(s) is an essential function of this position. This role will be hybrid, consisting of an in office and remote working component. Responsibilities: • The DEC ETD Clearing US IT team is located in Jersey City and part of a global organization with entities in Europe and Asia. • The functional scope covers the clearing of Listed Derivatives. The team interacts daily with Business (sales, Products) and support functions (IT Business Analysts, Operations and Application Support). The Business Analyst (BA) joining the team will take part of ongoing initiatives identified to enhance the current margin workflow. The BA will lead all aspects of the project life cycle: • BA will be responsible to formalize functional requirements for internal or external/vendor development teams. • BA will be responsible to test and validate new functionalities (unit + non-regression testing) and obtain sign off from Stakeholders. • BA will be responsible to coordinate all aspects of the deliveries (development, follow up of deployment procedures...). • BA will lead meetings or workshops with our internal or external partners. • BA will be involved in post go live validation & warranty period as level 3 support. • BA will play a role in US team's growth. • BA will establish procedures and Documentation. • The ideal BA has a strong knowledge of Listed Derivatives with proven Business Analyst track record, is a good Team player in a global organization and is shows proactivity. The BA shows synthetic and clear mindset. Minimum Required Qualifications: • BA/BS level required. • Minimum 5+ years in IT Finance industry experience especially in listed derivatives and / or back office perimeters • Good knowledge of listed derivatives instruments, clearing markets and collateral management • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for detailed documentation. • Experience writing use cases that encapsulate all functionality from a requirements document. • Experience designing architecture diagrams for end-to-end current/future business workflows suitable for a business and technical audience. • Functional testing of IT deliveries using a test environment. • Detail-oriented approach with problem solving mind-set and ability to work independently. • Ability to effectively challenge and apply professional skepticism with the goal of providing strategic solutions. • Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects and tasks assigned. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience on listed derivatives Back Office and Middle office tools. Knowledge of FIS Back Office systems (UBIX / GMI) is a plus. • Be accountable, i.e., taking full ownership of their allocated tasks. • Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation • Pro-active in general, taking own initiatives to prevent risks/issues • Ability to work well under pressure • Basic knowledge of SQL language
