Remote Business Affairs Manager, Music Licensing Marcom Business Affairs Contractor | Level 4 Job Summary: The Music Licensing Business Affairs team is responsible for ensuring all music tracks used within our marketing deliverables are properly licensed for Apple’s use. This team works closely with Producers, Business Affairs Mangers, Music Supervisors, Advertising, Finance, and Apple’s external agency partners. The Business Affairs Manager, Music Licensing will assist the team in managing the many moving parts involved in the music licensing process. Description: • Draft, review, and negotiate long-form sound recording and publishing music licenses, deal memos, and work-for-hire music purchase agreements. • Negotiate and paper renewals and extensions of existing agreements. • Manage entire music licensing process from initial confirmation to full execution of the license agreements. • Oversee payment process and ensure timely payment. • Field all music-related inquiries, internally and externally, including permitted usage. • Assist on special projects as necessary. Key Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience on a business affairs, clearances or licensing team, including 4+ years in a music licensing focused role. • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex long-form music license agreements, deal memos and music rights purchase agreements. • Ability to exercise sound strategic, legal, and business judgment when presented with novel and challenging situations. • Self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills • Friendly and upbeat, with calm and confident communication skills • Proactive and resourceful • Strong attention to detail a must. • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with ability shift gears quickly and seamlessly. • JD a plus Apply tot his job
